The Kustom Woodshop specializes in creating functional kitchen art pieces. What is functional kitchen art? The functional kitchen art that we make is one-of-a-kind boards designed for everyday use in the kitchen. It's beautiful and unique (art) but designed for everyday use (functional) in the kitchen.

We started by making one-of-a-kind end grain cutting boards (sometimes referred to as butcher block boards) because these were so challenging and rewarding to craft. Then we began to make one-of-a-kind flat grain boards that are frequently used as serving boards or charcuterie boards. And then, because we love cheese, we started to make one-of-a-kind cheese slicer boards (guaranteed to make even your favorite cheese taste just a little more fun).

There is no mass-production in the shop as each board is entirely handmade. And since wood is a natural product, boards end up being unique with variations in grain and color because of the wood's uniqueness.
