Product Details
This is an End Grain (also referred to as Butcher Block) that I made in a semi-random pattern. I used many various dark woods, both domestic and imported, interspersed with some light woods in order to create the randomness.
The board measures 12 inches square and is approximately 1.5 inches thick. To make it even more awesome ... this board has a juice moat cut into one side of the board! So this is a perfect board for carving and serving up some deliciously messy items. The other side of the board is flat - so you can use either side of the board based on your current kitchen project. To make it easy for you to pickup and carry around, I cut finger grips into the short ends of the board.
Like all boards at The Kustom Woodshop, this board was finished by hand and is easy to maintain at home. First, we applied food-grade mineral oil and then hand-buffed the board with bees wax.
