If you look closely at the center of the board, you can see the starting point is a piece of Maple in center that is 3mm x 3mm. The pattern builds from there using a total of 361 pieces of Maple and Cherry to complete. While this a fun board to make, it requires many steps and a healthy dose of patience to complete.

The finished board measures 13 x 12 inches and is approximately 1.5 inches thick. To make it easier to pickup and carry, it has finger grips cut into the ends. The board is finished with food-grade mineral oil and buffed with beeswax.
